Field observations on Sunday (7/20) showed the fire victim occupying a Jakarta BPBD emergency tent in Gang Katik, RT 02/01, Bukit Duri. The location also had a disaster post prepared by Jakarta Baznas Bazis and two mobile toilets owned by the Jakarta Environmental Agency.
Meanwhile, some aid was stored at residents' houses with bigger yards and facing the evacuation tents.
Govt Ensures to Fulfill Bukit Duri Fire Survivors' NeedsJakarta Social Agency Head, Iqbal Akbaruddin said, 32 aid items had been distributed to the incident site, and they were received by the local RT/RW administrators.
"Our aid is provided according to needs. If they still need more, we will provide it again," he asserted.
Of the 32 items, the details are: 100 boxes of packaged rice meals, 50 family kits, and 50 kids' packages.
Also sixteen bags of rice, each weighing 20 kilograms; sixteen boxes of instant noodles; sixteen bottles of soy sauce; sixteen bottles of cooking oil; thirty-two cans of sardines; eighteen blankets; five packs of adult pampers; and six packs of children's food.
Each pack contained baby biscuits, crunch, baby porridge, cereal, and powdered milk.
And also, there were 30 pairs of school shoes, 10 sets of elementary school uniforms, 10 elementary school hats, 10 pairs of elementary school socks, 10 belt buckles, and 10 sets of junior high school uniforms.
Then 10 pieces of junior high school uniforms and hats, buckles, and 10 pairs of T-shirts.
Including 10 sets of high school uniforms, 10 high school caps and buckles, 10 pairs of high school socks, 30 school bags, 80 packages of notebooks, 96 pens.
RT 06/02 Chairman, Bukit Duri, Fachri expressed, the number of residents affected by this fire is 16 households totaling 46 people, consisting of 14 children, 27 adults, and five elderly.
However, there were eight families or 24 individuals living in the evacuation tents. They consisted of seven children, three elderly, and 14 adults.
"Alhamdulillah (thank God), the aid has arrived from BPBD, Social Agency, Baznas Bazis, Environmental Agency, Bukit Duri TP PKK, Dasawisma RW 01, and others," he added.
One of the fire survivors, Kasul (33), who lost two children aged 7 and 4 in this incident, expressed his gratitude to Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno and his staff.
"We express our thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Governor and his staff for visiting us and providing assistance," he added.
It is said that at the time of the incident, he was working driving Jak Linko, then he was informed by his wife and immediately went home.
However, because the fire had grown big, it was difficult to extinguish. His two children were inside the room on the second floor and did not save their lives.
"My wife and the little child were carried and jumped out of the window, but the other two children inside said they were afraid to jump," he explained.
As planned, his two children's bodies to be buried at Menteng Pulo Cemetery this noon or afternoon, after the autopsy process at the Police Hospital Kramat Jati.
